Walnut is hard, with an open grain. Favored for furniture, it is milled for the heartwood’s deep rich color, which ranges from hazelnut to chocolatey brown. This panel has a test stain on it pushing the tone even more towards black walnut.

This panel comes with built-in stabilizers; metal straps inset into the underside to prevent cupping over time, adding durability and stability for the long term. A DIY approach can be taken to modify the panel dimensions at home, but keep in mind that the straps will affect how narrow the panel can be and at what intervals the length can be adjusted.
